We met in groups and discussed some of the logistics and foundations for the various reading groups.  Read as much as you can by Monday.

4A- In class we chose which group we were in for the next reading (Math, Lewis Carol, Truman Capote, Space Romance, Gregory McGuire, and Spirit) and talked a little bit about the Aglo- Saxons. ***Homework: print Mr. Kaulfus' notes on aglo- saxons off the website (and read them) & get your book for the group you chose by next class.

In class on Tuesday we broke up into groups and discussed how the quotes which we chose from either The Road or To a God Unknown related to the purpose of life, then after the best defendant one we shared and explained/discussed with the class all together. Be sure to again bring both novels to class next time we meet on Friday! TH

During class we had a group discussion on To a God Unknown. If you weren't able to contribute much in this logging onto to the online discussion board and throwing ideas out there is a great idea! For next class you need to choose a passage from either of the two summer reading books that was important to you and be prepared to explain why and share with the class. Everyone have a great long weekend!

Here's a quick reference for grades on AP prompts:

1-2-3 = insufficient in some way
4-5 = adequate, but nothing to write home about
6-7 = good
8-9 = excellent
